Time for a switch-up at church

I've been in Young Womens for almost 5 years with the Beehives. So when I got called into the bishop's office I thought I was going to be released (bitter/sweet, blah, blah). Anyway, much to my surprise (drum roll) I was asked to be the YW president. I was, to say the least, shocked. I've had a few weeks to digest the idea and I think I'll be okay... I'm just working on staying motivated. Working with the girls is always so fun and exciting. I was sustained today and so were all my councilors. I am so lucky that I was able to steal them from other auxiliaries! It is going to be a fun group of leaders. Feel free to email me fun ideas.

No post is complete without pictures or a video. We've had a lot of rain lately so Carson hasn't been able to play outside as much as usual. Whenever there is sun in between the storms we head out doors. After trying to keep him out of puddles for the majority of our playing I finally gave in. Poor kid needs some rain boots.

Daddy's little helper

Carson loves to help Steve mow the lawn. He is so fascinated with the entire process. Funny boy. He sits in the backpack and kicks his feet.

I've been trying to take some pictures so I can email them to my sister Laura on her mission. Here are a few I took today. And yes, that is a backpack leash. I got it for him yesterday and we were trying it out. Trust me, he needs it!

Blog Book & Bubbles

After hours and hours of work it is finally done and here! I got my blog book in the mail today and it turned out great. It is 184 pages 2007-2009 (even though 2007 was started in October). Anyway you should all do one eventually with your blogs. It is such a great was to scrapbook and journal. The site I used was blurb.com if you want more information. The software was pretty user friendly. There were defiantly things I really liked and disliked about it. If you have any questions or know if any other blog publishing sites let me know. The book seems to be great quality and should last, which was very important to me. Above are some pictures of the finished product if you are interested. They are kind of blurry, my camera was running out of batteries so I took them fast.

I've realized that I have been slacking with Carson pictures lately. here are a few from yesterday. I bought a bubble maker and we've been having fun. As usual he is too busy to humor me with a smile.

Super Bowl and the Wiggles

I've been working on my blog book for the past month and it is very time consuming! I think I haven't been posting as much lately because I don't want my next book to take so long... Anyway- Here are two recent videos that I thought were funny.

Steve and Carson watching the Super Bowl. I love the concentration Carson is displaying.

Carson has recently been introduced to the Wiggles and loves it! He likes to sing and dance along to all the songs. How do kids learn how to dance anyway? I think that it is amazing that instinctively they feel the need to move their bodies to the music. Oh, the step ladder...It is his newest favorite thing. He likes to climb and stand on top while he dances. It might look dangerous, but trust me he is fine. And yes, that is a new TV and there are patches all over my walls. That will be another post once the room is done.

Gage Lynn

My sister Annie and her husband welcomed a new addition to their family, Gage Lynn Brower was born January 24 weighing 7 pounds 1 ounce, 20 inches long. He is adorable! I have to admit that I am jealous that she had him 3 weeks early... Here are pictures a few days after he was born. I thought Annie would appreciate the posting of these pictures rather than the minute after birth pictures. Those are so horrible! I can't wait to meet the little guy!
