Tourists for the Day

Before the Grandparents left we spent the day in San Fransisco. We had perfect weather and the kids are at good stages to do this type of day trip. Luke can nap in the car rather then in his bed and Kendall isn't old enough to be on a schedule.

Pier 39:

I love walking on the Golden Gate bridge. It is so massive and majestic and has the most beautiful backdrop. I can't believe that this structure was built so long ago without the use of modern day equipment.

Kendall's Blessing Day

Kendall was blessed today by her Dad. Steve and my parents flew into attend the event. It was so nice having them there. Kendall wore the blessing dress my Mom got in Spain when we were there 6 years ago. She also wore the same little shoes I wore when I was blessed. She was such a sweet, peaceful little thing.

I tried to get a picture of all those in the circle, but missed a few. Left to right: Bill Bonner, Brian Kelley, Steve Bonner, Brian Addington, Brandon Ricks & Mike Goring (not pictured: Matt Thomas & Dave Mosher)

Best picture we got of our little family & the continuation of pictures that followed...

Our good friends the Garcias were able to attend. All the kids were very reverent throughout sacrament meeting!

Angles Camp

Because we stuck around for Christmas we wanted to at least go on a short trip. We used our timeshare and went to Angels Camp with some friends. Angels Camp is two hours to the east in gold rush territory. Our friends the Halls came along. They have 3 kiddos too. Carson and Carter are in the same class and have a lot (sometimes a little too much) fun together. It was a laid back trip. Perfect in my opinion.

Snow is usually a half hour away in the winter, but because we've had such a dry winter we had to drive about an hour to find it. We pulled to the side of a road and found a great sledding hill. Most of the kids had lots of fun. Luke threw up the night before and was pretty grumpy, so he spent most of the time in the car. By the next day he was back to his old self, which was nice.

The resort has a year-a-round outdoor pool and hot tub. Swimming was great. The weather was warm (high 60's/low 70's.) World Mark (our timeshare) is very family friendly with large units. We were next door to each other in 2 bedroom units.

We went to the Angels Camp museum and saw some old cars and wagons and we got to pan for gold. So cool!
