A Blanket from Brother to Baby

A few weeks ago Carson mentioned that he really wanted to make baby sister a blanket. So I took him to the fabric store and he picked out purple cupcake fabric and was so excited to get sewing.

Ta-da! All done!
Later that day he informed me that he needed to go do "daddy work" outside and put on his Home Depot apron. He proceeded to nail nails into the fence for a half hour.

Boating at Barryessa

Over Labor Day weekend the Hornfishers took us to Lake Barryessa. It was a perfect day. Carson got up on the wake board with Steve and loved it!

Luke and Olivia
On a sidenote: Steve bought baby girl a life jacket. So cute.

Muir Woods & A Visit from Chelsea

Chelsea came to town for a wedding and we were able to spend a few days with her. We took her to Muir Woods to see the redwoods, then up to the Marin Headlands for a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Carson thought the redwoods were way cooler than I thought he would.

Luke refused to wear shoes that day. I realized later that his shoes had gotten way too small so I don't blame him.

Carson is finally starting to sit still and smile for pictures, hooray!

Yes, he is biting his hair. Why, I have no idea...

It was too foggy to see the bridge at the headlands, but we did hike up to the old army barracks and check them out. They've been sealed since the last time we were there, so that was a bummer.

Thanks for the visit Chelsea. We love visitors!!
