Kendall's Blessing Day

Kendall was blessed today by her Dad. Steve and my parents flew into attend the event. It was so nice having them there. Kendall wore the blessing dress my Mom got in Spain when we were there 6 years ago. She also wore the same little shoes I wore when I was blessed. She was such a sweet, peaceful little thing.

I tried to get a picture of all those in the circle, but missed a few. Left to right: Bill Bonner, Brian Kelley, Steve Bonner, Brian Addington, Brandon Ricks & Mike Goring (not pictured: Matt Thomas & Dave Mosher)

Best picture we got of our little family & the continuation of pictures that followed...

Our good friends the Garcias were able to attend. All the kids were very reverent throughout sacrament meeting!

Angles Camp

Because we stuck around for Christmas we wanted to at least go on a short trip. We used our timeshare and went to Angels Camp with some friends. Angels Camp is two hours to the east in gold rush territory. Our friends the Halls came along. They have 3 kiddos too. Carson and Carter are in the same class and have a lot (sometimes a little too much) fun together. It was a laid back trip. Perfect in my opinion.

Snow is usually a half hour away in the winter, but because we've had such a dry winter we had to drive about an hour to find it. We pulled to the side of a road and found a great sledding hill. Most of the kids had lots of fun. Luke threw up the night before and was pretty grumpy, so he spent most of the time in the car. By the next day he was back to his old self, which was nice.

The resort has a year-a-round outdoor pool and hot tub. Swimming was great. The weather was warm (high 60's/low 70's.) World Mark (our timeshare) is very family friendly with large units. We were next door to each other in 2 bedroom units.

We went to the Angels Camp museum and saw some old cars and wagons and we got to pan for gold. So cool!

Kendall 2 Month Update

what a sweet baby girl am I! I'm sure loved by my big brothers. They both are always so excited to see me in the morning. Carson frequently wants to wake me up in order to hold me. Luke is being more genial with me too.

I smile all the time now. I love to be held and talked to. Mom says I am a very easy baby. I am starting to want to be held more and fuss a little when I am wake and being ignored. I am a good sleeper. I usually wake up around 2 and again at 4 or 5. Every once and a while I only wake up once, around 4. Mom loves that because she is usually up a few times a night with Luke. ( Mom and Dad are not too thrilled with him right now...)

I am finally starting to fill out and am out of newborn clothes for the most part. My body is still pretty skinny, but my cheeks are getting nice and chunky! I am in the 18th percentile for weight and the 30th for height. Mom isn't used to such a little baby! Mom is excited I am fitting into cute little outfits. She loves putting headbands on me and that I am too little to take them off.

I've had a bottle a few times and don't mind it too much. Mom and Dad want to make sure that I take bottles every once and a while so they can go out sometimes. I coo and make cute sounds all the time. I don't cry very often. My eyelashes are getting so long and pretty. Everyone says I am a very feminine looking baby. No one mistakes me for a boy. I make every day more happy in my home and my family is so glad I am here.
