Carson's First Day of School

Carson still isn't 5 (world's biggest 4-yr-old) and missed the kindergarten cut-off by a few months, so this year he is in Transitional Kindergarten. The district has a class set up for all the kids with September, October and November birthdays. He just finished his 3rd day and so far so good I think. He is used to his little speech delay pre-school with 11 kids and 5 adults and now his class is close to 30 with one teacher. Heaven help that teacher. We/he LOVED his old speech therapist and we were sad to leave her, but he'll get speech pull-out twice a week so hopefully improvement will continue. I can't believe that this big boy is mine! Love him.

Our New Minivan

I've never been a "minivan snob". Obviously, if I could choose any car in the world to have it wouldn't be a minivan, but for this stage in my life nothing could be more perfect. With baby #3 on the way we decided to go for it. My Dad found us a great deal on a year old Toyota Sienna through his dealer buddy and drove it up. (Luke still calls it "Pa Pa's car". I'm sure he is waiting for Grandpa to come back for it.) Out of any minivan on the market this is the exact one I wanted. Exact model, color, interior, bells , etc. When buying used you don't always get exactly what you want, so I'm excited it turned out that way for us. The boys are in HEAVEN. They love it and are frequently playing in the garage in the van. They both have been known to cry when we take Daddy's car somewhere instead of Mommy's. Nothing quite as exciting as new cars to kids, except baby sisters. I'll let you know which they are more excited about.
