Mommy and Me

All six of us Kelley girls wore this dress for our 6 month pictures. So, naturally, Kendall had to as well. =) I asked the place if they had this same back round and they just laughed at me. Funny thing is I look much more like my niece Ami then Kendall.

I am getting more and more fun! I love to talk and smile and communicate with those around me. I love to screech and scream really loud. Not out of anger or sadness, I just love to hear what my lungs are capable of. I’ve very proud of how loud I can be! I am a social girl. I really love all of my chew toys and am chewing on something constantly. Usually my own fingers, Mom’s fingers or my toys. I am starting to drool more too. I think my teeth will be arriving soon. 

I’m still an excellent night time sleeper. I’ve been sleeping through the night until 5 or 6 most nights. I wake up to eat and then go back to sleep for a few hours. I am getting better at naps. I take either two or three depending on how long they are. If I only get two I’ll go to sleep when my brothers do (around 7:30) and sleep all night. If I take a late nap I’ll stay up until 9 or 10. Mom and Dad don’t mind. They like spending one-on-one time with me.

Sometimes Mom has to wake me up or keep me awake to take my brothers somewhere and that throws me off. I do not sleep well on the run. I want to sleep in my own room. Mom can just put me down and walk out of the room and I’ll go to sleep. Sometimes I cry but it’s only for a few minutes. I decided I’m too old to be swaddled anymore. It doesn’t sooth my like it used to, it makes me so frustrated that I can’t suck on my fingers. 

I still can’t roll over. Mom is making it a goal this month to work on that.

Poor Mama pushing all three in a two kid stroller back to the car. Luke was passed out in the bottom so I decided against the tram back bc I didn't want to get him out to fold up the stroller. Exhausting day!

Attempting Potty Training

I decided to try with Luke. He picked out some cool Skylander underwear and seemed excited. It was a cold rainy day so the setting was perfect.  I set the timer to go off every 15 minutes. In a 6 hour time frame he went pee on the floor 5 times, never in the toilet. I admitted defeat and will try again in a few months. I had to post his cute little bottom though anyway. =)

Kendall 5 Month Update

I am quite the conversationalist. I love to communicate and be part of conversations. My brothers think it is so funny when I “talk” with them. I have finally outgrown my 3 month clothing. I’m getting bigger and bigger each day. My thighs even have a few rolls now. =)

I rolled from my stomach to my back once. I hate being on my tummy and Mom never remembers to have me do it, so I haven’t had much opportunity. I am good at supporting my body weight on my legs and like to stand on laps and talk to the person holding me. I am just starting to realize the joy of putting things in my mouth. It’s hard sometimes though because my hand eye coordination isn’t perfect yet. 

I have had rice cereal a few times and I think I like it. I’ve sucked on cantaloupe, an apple and a banana and really loved those! I am still a amazing night time sleeper. Sometime I sleep until 7am, and sometimes I’m up a few times, but for the most part I wake up in the early hours to eat and go back to sleep for a few more hours. Mom has given up on leaving the house so I can have quality sleep during the day. I’m still trying to figure out how to be a good napper. Some days I take multiple 45 minute naps and am very grumpy and other days I take 2-3 2-3-hour naps and am much happier. 

I really am a beautiful little thing and my family loves me so much!
